The most important resolution that I will be making this year is TIME for my family. I plan on cutting out those nonessential pieces of my life that always seem to get in the way.

January's theme for project 12 is resolution. I am not fond of making resolutions because come face it we(I) don't usually follow through with them. This is something I would like to do this year. I would like to make more time to READ. I would like to read these several books, some of which I have had on my shelves for years and haven't started or finished. I would also love to take more time and let my girls read to me or vice-versa. Lastly my nook, I would like to be able to read beyond this stack of books and that is where my new trusty friend will come in.

Seniors, seniors and more seniors :)

I have had some fabulous SENIORS for sure this summer. We have had alot of fun at different locations around the area. These few were taken at my studio, Mare Island, and Suisun Waterfront. These are perfect locations for senior pictures and also for family photoshoots.

I do have two openings left for the month of August. Book now, the schedule is quickly filling.

May has been a very busy month for me outside of my photography business. The month has been full of dance, dance, dance, some more dance and a sprinkling of doctors visits. We have attended competitions, conventions, parades, plays and field trips. Oh my as summer is gearing up we just seem to get busier instead of slowing down.
We also had several modeling shoots this month. We had fun using some props and new backdrops.

After a long period of debating opening a website I have finally done it. I finally broke down and purchased the cutest template for my website and have been spending the last month resizing pictures and adding them to my galleries. I am completed unsure why it has taken me so long to get these fab photos on here. Mrs. E was so fun to work with and we had a wonderful time. What gorgeous shots we had, but with such a beautiful subject to photograph it was hard not to.

Easter fundraiser at local dance studio

I photographed more than thirty families at a local dance studio for Easter. We had a great deal of fun. I brought in my bunny, bought and dyed some chicks from the feed store and another person brought in some baby bunnies. Such a great day but many little ones went home sad because they weren't allowed to take home the animals.

I wanted to do some practicing with some indoor natural light. I took these with just the light from my backdoor. How fun, the other two little ones just held up my serpa and I snapped a few pictures. Jaylee of course had to have her bull in the photo.

Yes, that is right. I now have a child old enough to drive, a terrifying thought. I took these pictures while her dad was in town visiting for her birthday. I just love my new charcoal backdrop, baseboards and flooring. This was the first photoshoot that I used them but I am sure they will be used quite often.

Our first mini session went well out on the flightline. We had to ward off the rain but that made for gorgeous lighting.

The Holiday Season is in full swing. I have been so busy with pictures and editing lately that I haven't had much time to update the blog. I can't wait to show you all of the wonderful pictures that I have taken out on the flightline. I have had 4 sessions out there so far and a few families were either out of town or just couldn't make those dates work so we are talking about doing the morning of December 12th as one final session for the Holidays.

I recently aqquired a new chair. My sweet daughter found this for me when she was out checking some local yardsales. I think it can make a great photo prop and I am getting ready to use it for a Breakfast with Santa photo shoot on December 5th. This set up is still in the studio if anyone just can't wait.

We decided on Andrews Park for famiy S. We had a great morning walking around and finding all kinds of beautiful backdrops for their pictures. This was my first time doing a family at Andrews Park but I had taken many pictures of individual children there.

I was bogged down with orders, then preparing for the move and now unpacking and before I knew it I am months behind. I believe that Miss A came to visit a dear friend back in July. It was perfect timing, I got to take her pics and she got to model this for me. What a win, win experience for me!

We had such a fun time taking these shots for Born Again Creations. I pulled out all of our Dr Suess books and just had some fun. Jaylee was so excited about this shoot she sat for almost an hour and a half after we were finished and just read. This set was inspired by Jaylee and the fact that she was just learning to read, she couldn't have been more thrilled when this set arrived in the mail. We just love it!!! We also did some shots outdoors with it but my favorites were the ones taken in the studio. I just wish we would have had the Cat in the Hat stuffed animal that I found at a yard sale this morning to use in these photos. Oh well, there is always next time and now I have another photo prop. Yeah Me!!!
